With their years of building custom electric guitars, Fender's Custom Shop craftsmen created a "dream list" of specs, and this customized '50s-style Telecaster guitar—designed by Master Builder Chris Fleming—has them all!

Special features of the Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster include a soft V-shaped neck with 21 medium jumbo frets, an ash body with a thin polyester finish, a Custom Vintage Broadcaster bridge pickup with string-thru-body and a Custom Shop ”Twisted“ Tele Single-Coil in the neck position and a Custom Shop Broadcaster Single-Coil at the bridge with four-way switching, knurled chrome knobs and "Custom Shop Designed" neckplate.

The original Tele pickups had more twang than any two "normal" guitars, thanks to dual single coil pickups in the bridge and neck positions. The Classic Player Baja Telecaster sports Custom Shop '69 pickups with a Twisted Tele rhythm pickup and a Broadcaster bridge pickup. On top of the custom pickups, the Fender Classic Player Baja Tele is fitted with a special 4-position blade switch and a 2-position S-1 switch. This configuration gives you tonal options ranging from classic Tele to series and parallel out-of-phase tones, along with special fat tones and high-output settings. From classic to modern, this the Fender Classic Player Baja Telecaster has a tone for you!

The original Telecasters came with bridge assemblies made of three brass saddles rather than six individually adjustable saddles. Many connoisseurs of vintage Telecasters feel that the brass saddles, while making intonation a bit more difficult, is what gave the Telecaster that unmistakable twang. The Classic Player Baja Tele is equipped with a vintage-style 3-saddle bridge for classic Telecaster tone and string-thru-body for excellent sustain.
